Bicycle Information Seminars

Whether you're a beginner or an expert, the sessions are geared towards cyclists of all levels. They are free and open to the public. Bicycling experts will be on hand to answer all your questions.

Scheduled dates and topics (subject to change) are:

February 11: Introduction to Bicycling. What kinds of bicycles are available, what's best for you. This session will also include information on training you can do inside when the weather may not allow you to ride outside.

February 21: Bike Maintenance/Fitting a Bike. Is your bike too small or too big? Here's a way to find out. Also, we'll show some of the cool bike stuff that you might not be able to live without. And, do you know how to change a flat or clean and lube your chain? We'll show you how as well as other important bicycle maintenance information.

March 11: Bicycle Safety and Etiquette. Know how to be safe while a riding a bicycle, both around vehicular traffic and other bicycle traffic.

March 21: What's This Thing Called "FreeWheel?" Take a vacation on your bike and discover Oklahoma on this annual seven-day, cross-state bicycle ride called Oklahoma FreeWheel.

April 8: Where Can I ride? and Cycling with Kids. We'll give you some ideas where to ride in Oklahoma. Also, make bicycling a family affair!

April 18: Nutrition and Nickie's FreeWheel Packing Demo. While you may "bike to eat" you still need proper nutrition. Then, even if you're not going on FreeWheel, Nickie's FreeWheel packing demonstration is a must-see!
